MONEAGUE, St Ann; March 12, 2026

A scholarship to celebrate farming and in memory of a farmer who was the father of an alumna of Moneague College is one of several awards recently made at the institution.

Lishaugne Abbott is the recipient of the Enos Nevers Scholarship. It commemorates the name of Enos Nevers, the late father of Laur Nevers, a graduate of the class of 1974 (Batch 19).

The scholarship presentation took place at Moneague College in February at the institution’s Scholarship and Grants Presentation.

Nearly 20 scholarships and grants, some to multiple individuals, were presented. Some of the awards were named after the sponsors –individuals and institutions — and others were named after and provided from resources of the Moneague College, including five grants in sports. More than 30 students benefitted from the scholarships and awards.
