MONEAGUE COLLEGE MOVING TOWARD NORMALITY

MAIN CAMPUS STILL WITHOUT ELECTRICITY, WATER

MONEAGUE, St Ann; Nov. 19, 2025

Although the Moneague College’s main campus at Moneague, St Ann, remains without electricity and water and has limited internet access, the college is seeking to return aspects of its operation to normality.

Its satellite campuses at Galina, St Mary and Linstead, St Catherine, resumed face-to-face operations on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The college said all students in or out of uniform will be accommodated.

Although the main campus remains without electricity and water services, psychosocial engagement and a special General Assembly will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, starting at 10 a.m.

“Asynchronous academic instruction begins on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 and will continue until further notice,” the college said in a release. No classes will be conducted face-to-face or live online. The college says this ensures equity for learners who are unable to make it to the campuses and those who have limited internet access.

Lecturers will prepare and release/upload combinations of recorded lectures, presentation slides, content notes, and academic tasks. Students will access these academic resources from wherever they are and should engage with lecturers and classmates as best as their internet connectivity allows. The halls of residence remain closed. No residential student will be accommodated on the halls until further notice

All students and faculty are welcome to access the internet, library and other academic services on all three campuses from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. weekdays, until further notice.
