The landmark achievement of Institutional Accreditation is being celebrated under the theme “Reflection and Transformation: Celebrating a Journey of Excellence.”
Sunday’s worship service is to be followed Monday morning, with a Celebratory Congress at the same venue, the Gloria Johnson Multipurpose Hall, at Moneague College’s main campus.

Principal of The Moneague College Howard Isaacs called the achievement of Institutional Accreditation a “defining moment.” In brief remarks to the congregation, he said IA reflected “an examination of our structure, of our operation, of student output, of faculty academic qualification…” He said a rigorous survey and assessment had been done of the college’s resources and “all aspects of our institution.”
Mr Isaacs said, “The journey [to international accreditation] was not an easy one”. Indeed, he said, the journey “was a very long one”. In that regard, he praised faculty and staff members including those who were no longer serving, for their role on the journey.

Mr Isaccs said that although IA was known publicly in January it had been conferred since April 2023.
Bishop John Smith delivered the sermon after a hearty singing of well-known choruses.
Several educators and supporters of the college were at the praise service. They included the Principal of ExEd Community College Philmore McCarthy.
