It was an evening of fashion and beauty on Sunday , May 18, when ten young women vying to make it big in the Miss Universe 2014 competition to the stage in the ball room at Jewel Dunn’s River, Mammee Bay to be sashed for the competition. The ten women appeared three times, strutting their stuff to catcalls and whistles. They appeared in sport wear, beachwear and formal wear for the sashing. Three others are said to be in the competition but were not present. The women are taking part in the Northeast region edition of the competition from which the winner automatically takes her place in the Miss Jamaica Universe Competition. Franchise holder for the Northeast region is Williams. The show to select the winner takes place next month.
