To go again in Premier League spot chase
St. George’s came from behind to draw 1-1 with Manchioneal in their first leg semifinal JB Eastern Confederation Super 8 premier league playoff game Sunday at Jones Park, Manchioneal. Both teams will meet in the second leg Saturday at Lynch Park, Buff Bay to decide who will advance to the final against St. Ann’s Brazil or Volvo. The goals were scored by Manchioneal’s Ryan Rodney in the 56th minute and St. George’s Daniel Shaw in the 78th minute. Manchioneal’s coach Lamond Henry was disappointed but is looking forward to the return leg on Saturday. “We should have taken this game but we are not afraid of Lynch Park as we have won some championship there so we will be going there to do our best,” he said. Manager of St. George’s Cedrick Ormbsy was confident: “We were behind and we made the necessary changes and got back into the game. We look forward to the return on Saturday as we seek to get back in the Primer League” he said.
