Man with link to Lime Hall, Priory murders held in taxi near Moneague

wanted-colorA man listed as St Ann’s most wanted, who has been granted bail twice in two separate killings in the parish and was on the run for another murder, was caught by the St Ann police on Wednesday afternoon, September 28.

He is Roshad Moss, alias ‘Shut’ of Lime Hall, St Ann.

He was wanted for questioning in murder and conspiracy to commit murder cases. The cases stemmed from the shooting death of 32-year-old Eroldo Harvey, otherwise called ‘France’ of Seville Heights, St. Ann on Wednesday, August 31. Another man, who was shot and wounded in that incident.

Police sources say that Moss was apprehended in a taxi close to the community of Moneague, St Ann, just before 2 on Wednesday afternoon. They say that they believe that Moss was leaving the area.

The St Ann police believe that they have made a major breakthrough in the fight against crime with the capture of Moss, who they say is responsible for several major crimes in the parish since last year.

Police say Moss was a member of the now dismantled ‘After Dark’ gang and was a key player in two murders in Lime Hall on Tuesday morning, January 5 when a taxi operator, David Hudson and Damion Campbell, alias ‘Iron Man’ were shot and killed.

Those murders were believed to have been connected to the disappearance of four family members who are now presumed dead. The four disappeared on Saturday, November 15, 2015 after the theft of bags of pimento and other items from a farm house in Lime Hall. The house and another building were set on fire after the robberies.

Police believed that the murders of Hudson and Campbell were part of a campaign by criminal elements to silence and get rid of people who had information that could lead police to the perpetrators of the robbery and arson.

Moss was later charged with only one of the Lime Hall murders, though committed on the same night.

He was charged with the murder of Damion Campbell, while he was on bail in relation to another murder matter. He was charged with accessory to murder in the death of 16-year-old high school drop-out, Maurice Cox Jnr in May of 2015.

However, Moss was again granted bail for the murder of Campbell earlier this year with conditions that he should not be seen in Lime Hall and that he should report to the Crofts Hill police in Clarendon every week.

However, police said Moss has not reported to the police for the last three months and was wanted for absconding bail, in addition to questioning in relation to murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Moss was the second man on the St Ann most wanted list to be captured in just over a day.

On Tuesday morning, September 27, the police caught 25-year-old Kevin Rattigan, alias Jigsy and Teves of Lime Hall in the parish.

He was caught in Ocho Rios at about 2 a.m. during a police operation.
Rattigan was wanted in connection with the murder of Maurice Cox Jnr of New Ground, near Lime Hall, on May 28, 2015.
