Police in St Ann are expected o charge a man with murder following a home attack that left a man dead and his girlfriend injured in Runaway Bay in the parish
Dead is 27-year-old fisherman Kenrick Dixon of Rocky Point, Clarendon. His 33-year-old girlfriend of Belle Air, Runaway Bay, was injured and treated at hospital.
Reports are that Dixon and the woman were at home at Lydford Close in the Belle Air housing scheme when, about 8:45 Tuesday morning, a man wielding a machete entered the house and began to chop the couple over their bodies.
Dixon and the woman were taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The woman was treated and has since been released.
The attacker, from Alexandria, St Ann, was taken into custody
Police say they expect to charge the assailant by this weekend.
