SUNDAY EVENING DRIVE-BY LEAVES 19 SPENT CASINGS

A 50-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed and a 71-year-old shot and wounded in a drive-by shooting near St Ann’s Bay, Sunday evening, February 9.
Dead is Junior Hyde also called Bufftick, labouer of Charles Town, St Ann’s Bay. The 71-year-old man, wounded in the same incident, was treated and released from the nearby St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
Reports are that at about 6:25 Hyde and the other man were at Marley Square, Windsor Heights near a bar.
A heavily tinted dark-coloured car drove up.
Three men alighted from the vehicle and opened gunfire at Hyde who ran. He was hit several times and fell in a yard.
The police were summoned and on their arrival, Hyde was seen lying face down on the ground in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to the head, hand, leg and all over his back.
Police recovered 19 spent casings and one warhead from the scene.
Investigations continue.
