Boy Wounded In Same Incident At Boscobel
The police in St Mary are investigating the murder of a 37-year-old man and the shooting and wounding of a 12-year-old in an incident Monday night, August 14, in Boscobel.
Dead is Jahvaine White otherwise called Ratty, unemployed of Annotto Bay. The 12-year-old is in hospital nursing gunshot wounds.
Reports are that around 9 p.m. White, who was staying with a relative in the Boscobel housing scheme, received a call and went to meet someone at the Boscobel scheme roundabout. The call was reportedly over bike parts White was seeking.
Reports are that men who were waiting in a motor car opened fire hitting White and the youth who was with him.
The two were taken to the Port Maria hospital where White died.
A report from the police’s communication unit (CCU) gave a different sequence of events. They said that about 9:40 p.m., Whyte and the 12-year-old boy were walking along the roadway when they were pounced upon by unknown assailants. The two were shot and White died at hospital.
Police are investigating.
