Girl Went There On Errand
A St. Mary man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in his house and locked her up there has been arrested and charged.
Charged is 56-year-old Trevor Michelin otherwise called ‘Indian’, of Old Road, Barracks River in Richmond, St. Mary.
Michelin has been charged with unlawful detention with Intent to have sexual intercourse, and rape following the incident in his community on Friday, August 4.
Reports are that a 12-year-old child went to Michelin’s home about 4:00 p.m. to collect items. Michelin reportedly locked her inside the house and sexually assaulted her. Following the assault, Michelin allegedly locked the child in a room. The girl managed to escape and made a report to the police.
Michelin was arrested. He was charged on Wednesday, September 6 after being pointed out during an Identification Parade.
His court date is being arranged.
