 ARRESTED FOR BUSINESSMAN’S MURDER IN PORTI

A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the murder of a businessman in Port Antonio, Monday, July 17.

Charged is Rishton Ramah, otherwise called ‘Gaza’, a tattoo artist of Red Hassel Road, Port Antonio, Portland.

He has been charged  for the murder of 56-year-old Robert Grant, a businessman of Harper Lane, Port Antonio in the parish.

 

 

 

Police report that about 4:05 p.m., Monday, Grant was conducting business in a store when he was pounced upon by Ramah who was armed with a knife. An argument developed between them and a tussle ensued. During the struggle, Ramah inflicted several wounds to Grant’s upper body. The Police were alerted and on their arrival, Grant was assisted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say their quick action led to the apprehension of Ramah near the crime scene.  A knife was also recovered and he was later charged after a question and answer interview was conducted.

His court date is being finalized.
