A man was shot dead in Higgin Town, this morning (Friday, Sept. 16).
Up to mid-morning police were on the scene and no details of the man’s identity were available.
The police operations resulted in traffic between Higgin Town and St Ann’s Bay, about eight miles away, being diverted through New Ground.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that gunshots were heard about 3 o’clock this morning. Police were alerted after daylight. It appeared the man ran toward a gully to escape his attackers.
