Police have a man in custody in connection with the murder of six-year-old Daniel Anderson of Runaway Bay.
Police took the man into custody last week as they investigated the murder of the Runaway Bay All Age school grade one student whose mutilated body was found near his home, Monday November 16.
Police confirmed to North Coast Times, Monday, that they expect to hold an identification parade by this weekend.
The boy’s father who is separated from his wife — who is not Daniel’s mother – was at home carrying out chores when Daniel was sent out Sunday, November 15 and never returned.
The boy’s body was found with a wound to the head the day after he was sent on an errand by his father to collect money in a neighbouring community to his Bell Aire home. Later that day the father, Devon Anderson went in search of Daniel and reported him missing.
