A man was charged and sentenced to four years in prison for the illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
The accused is Javon Edwards of Brown’s town St Ann
The incident reportedly took place on February 3, 2016 in Browns Town, St Ann where two police officers were summoned to the Big Apple Night Club after a complainant reported that Edwards had a firearm in his possessions.
It was reported that upon arrival, a man fitting the description given by the complainant, was accosted and searched and a .38 revolver was taken from him along with 14 .38 cartridges.
Edwards was sentenced to four years in the St Ann circuit court on June 7 after pleading guilty.
