A Portland farmer has been slapped with several charges after he reportedly forced himself on a woman he visited at her home.
He is 42-year-old Everett McNabee, farmer of Cornwall Barracks, Portland. McNabee has been charged with assault with intent to rape, unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm, following an incident in Moore Town, Portland last month, November.
Police reports are that McNabee was at the woman’s house when he initiated sexual contact. When told to stop, he allegedly forced himself on to her and an altercation developed. Police said the woman received various injuries. The police were summoned, and the woman taken to hospital, where she was treated.
McNabee was subsequently apprehended and later charged.
He is scheduled to appear before the court on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
