St Mary Cops Seeking 2 Suspects in Early Morning Gun Attack

Police are looking for two armed men who kicked down a man’s door before attacking and shooting him.
The householder escaped with minor wounds.

Police report that around 2 o’clock Wednesday morning, July 1, a 59-year-old man was awakened by the sound of his door being kicked in at Baccaswood, Islington, St Mary.
He was confronted by a masked gunman, who fired, hitting him in the hand. In an attempt to escape through another exit, the man encountered a second masked individual with a firearm. The man sounded an alarm, and the assailants fled the scene
The man managed to escape and seek assistance. The police were summoned, and the injured man was rushed to the hospital where he received treatment.

AMMUNITION UNDER PILLOW, MAN CHARGED
Police have charged a St Mary man following the seizure of ammunition said to have been found under his pillow.
Thirty-three-year-old Demoy Pennington, a bar operator of Gordon Hall, Epsom, St Mary, has been charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Reports are that at about 6:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 19, in Gordon Hall, Epsom, St Mary, a police team conducted a targeted operation in search of Pennington. Upon arrival at his home, a search warrant was executed in the presence of Pennington. A search yielded five 9mm rounds wrapped in fabric, hidden under a pillow on a bed. He was subsequently arrested.
Pennington was charged on Monday, June 29, by the St Catherine South Police in the presence of his attorney.
He is scheduled to appear before the Spanish Town Parish Court on Friday, July 10.
