A man is dead and at least one other is in hospital following a crash at Heart Hill in Portland, Friday night.
The dead man has been identified as Odane Scott of Hart Hill.
Reports are that just before 9 p.m. Scott was driving a Toyota Starlet which crashed into a Toyota Axio going in the opposite direction on the North Coast Highway. Both vehicles were badly damaged.
Firefighters had to cut away portions of the vehicle to remove Scott.
Both men were taken to the Annotto Bay Hospital where Scott was pronounced dead.
The state of the other driver is unknown.
