A twenty-year-old man has been charged with the murder of another man in a dispute over $500.
Charged with murder is Nashawn Nelson of Retreat district, Brown’s Town, St. Ann.
Nelson was charged with the murder of 25-year-old Daniel Codner of the same address on Tuesday, December 13. Dead is 25-year-old Daniel Codner of the same address. In fact, the two men are said to be related and lived in the same yard.
According to reports it at about 10:00 p.m., Codner was walking along the roadway when an argument developed between him and Nelson The argument was said to be over $500.
During the argument, Nelson used a ratchet knife to stab Codner all over his body and also to cut his throat. Codner was assisted to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Nelson was charged on Thursday, December 15, 2022 following a question-and-answer interview. His court date is being arranged.
