A man was arrested and charged after police in St Ann seized one firearm and eight rounds of ammunition in Lime Bottom district, Ocho Rios, Today (June 16)

Police are not yet naming the man but in a CCU release they said 11:00 a.m., lawmen from Ocho Rios were patrolling the area when a man was accosted, searched and the firearm, one .45 pistol with a magazine containing eight .45 rounds of ammunition, was found in his possession. He was charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.

He is scheduled to appear before the St. Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 21.
