MAN SHOT AT CLOSE RANGE BY MOTORCYCLIST
PORT MARIA, St Mary — July 18, 2024
A motorist was lucky to escape with his life following an attack by a gunman, near Castleton.
North Coast Times will not release the name of the victim who was wounded in the incident on Wednesday morning, July 17.
Police reports are that the man who lives in Kingston was cleaning his motorcar along the Content main road, Castleton, around 8 am.
A motorcyclist drove up, dismounted, and walked towards the motorist. The cyclist then pulled a firearm and shot the motorist in his right leg.
The motorist escaped in a nearby gully and made his way to the Castleton police station where he reported the incident. He was taken to the Annotto Bay hospital where he was treated and released. Two spent casings were discovered at the scene.
The Port Maria Police are investigating.
