The Love and Happiness Retro Party rolls into Ocho Rios, St. Ann on Saturday July 26, at the Ocean’s 11, Fisherman’s Point Road. Kool 97 FM’s ace DJs, Krazy Kris and Craig ‘Young Lion’ Ross will be at the controls to treat party goers to an experience they won’t forget.The Love and Happinessbrand has been going strong as the market for retro parties remains wide, as evidenced by high support for such events. Public relations officer for the event,MakadaHaye, says, “Wehave staged several successful Love and Happiness parties in the Corporate Area and we were quite happy with the turn out. There are quite a lot of music lovers who want to go to a party and spend every moment on the dance floor, moving to music played by some of the best DJs in the country. Retro partieshave a space in the entertainment circuit, even among the very young.” The decision to stage the next retro party in Ocho Rios was an easy one for the organisers, says Ms Hay.“When we got together to decide on where the next party should be, we decided to share the experience with the people of St. Ann and its environs. Ocean’s 11, because of its central location and décor, suited us perfectly. It’s a good synergy.” Pre-sold tickets are available at Ocean’s 11 and, and at Rubis Gore Terrace in the Corporate Area. Tickets cost $700, pre-sold; $900 at the gate. Gate opens at 6:00 pm. The Love and Happiness experience starts at 8:00 pm. Amidst growing demand from Love and Happiness fans in the Corporate Area, a ‘Park and Ride’ package is available. The cost is $2300 and includes transportation and ticket to the event.
