Locals rave over the ‘new’ Beaches Ocho Rios

Jamaicans are raving over the new and improved Beaches Ocho Rios (formerly Beaches Boscobel). The family resort has undergone a massive upgrading and refurbishing exercise which has transformed it into indeed one of the jewels of the Caribbean. But it’s not just the structural improvements that have locals on a high, it’s the standard of service and incredible team members led by General Manager RamelSobrino. New inclusions include: themed villages, each with their own appropriate restaurants, bars, renovated suites.There is also a new boardwalk. Beaches Ocho Rios is also home to Jamaica’s largest hotel-operated water park. Guests, ranging from toddlers to grandparents can now enjoy Josephine’s a brand new creperie offering the finest pastries; the Opa Bar, Pizzeria, X Box Centre and Teen’s Club.Guests also have the option of checking in their young ones at the Kids Kamp where trained staff ensure they are properly cared for. Add the Sesame Street characters including crowd favourite Elmo and it’s an unbeatable offer. Joseph Bryan, from St. Ann, who recently spent a weekend with his family, gushed about the resort: “We had a great experience. The place is so kid-friendly and the staff members are simply wonderful. I stayed there years ago but now the hotel is like new, It was an incredible getaway for us.” Regional public relations manager for Sandals/ Beaches in Ocho Rios Ian Spencer noted that the level of service was what made Beaches Ocho Rios one of the finest family resort in the Caribbean. “They are well trained and believe in team work. Our staff is the reason for our success,” Spencer added.
