LIME TREE GARDEN PRIMARY HEALTH FAIR & EXPO

Helping to Provide Information for Empowerment

Lime Tree Garden Primary and Infant School in association with the Bureau of Gender Affairs (BGA) staged a health fair and expo on Monday, June 26, on the school grounds.

The fair and expo were mainly aimed at providing information for parents and caregivers as well as students on how to access some of the benefits available through various institutions and agencies in society.

Some of these were on hand providing information to people who attended. Agencies present included the BGA, the Registrar Generals Department (RGD), the Ministry of Labour and Social Security/PATH, CPFSA, Ministry of Health, and the National Housing Trust as well as JN Bank.

The BGA’s team members included Nardia McLaren and Lorrean Scarlett. They had a booth display showcasing various resource materials to raise awareness as well as to empower the general public.

Kamekah Brown Sibblis, Acting Principal of Lime Tree Garden Primary and Infant helped to facilitate the event. Cluster guidance counsellor Sherika Sewell Wisdom was one of the main mobilizers of the various agencies that provided information throughout the event.

Among others who helped make the event possible were  Debbian Brown, Carla Kelly Walford,  Chantelle Campbell, Stephanie Bailey Thompson, Paula Barrett, Shanakay Mighty- Smith and Kadalia Reid, and staff at the school.
