OCHO RIOS St Ann; Dec. 11, 2025

The Jamaica Tourist Board UK hosted a ‘Stronger Together’ themed Fam Trip to Jamaica from December 5 to 8, 2025, with eight top Jamaica Travel Specialists taking part.

British Airways and Couples Resorts supported the trip. The travel agents visited Ocho Rios, where they conducted site inspections at Couples Sans Souci Tower Isle, RIU Ocho Rios and Jamaica Inn. They also visited Dunn’s River Falls and experienced Bobsledding at Mystic Mountain.

The agents who took part were mostly of Jamaican descent or had strong connections.

British Airways facilitated agents to take a second suitcase at no cost, which allowed them to take clothing, tools, sanitary products and food items.

On Sunday, December 7,  the group participated with the Northgate Youth Family Development Foundation at the Philadelphia Life Centre in Ocho Rios, which is a church that also runs a school. Here, the group distributed the gift and relief items to 20 elderly residents and dozens of primary and secondary school students. They also helped to repair the building that was damaged.

Keesha McKensie of Hays Travel, Hemel Hempstead said, “The trip has been an excellent opportunity to see first-hand Jamaica’s progress post hurricane and experience the resilience and determination to be ready to welcome guests.”

The group was escorted by JTB’s district sales manager, Torrance Lewis and business development officer Shenika Ramsay.
