HUNDREDS AFFECTED BY WATER LOCKOUT IN BROWN’S TOWN AREA

NWC Says Water Will Be Restored This Evening, After Leak Repairs

BROWN’S TOWN, St Ann; Sept. 3, 2006

Hundreds of households and businesses in Brown’s Town and surrounding communities in St Ann are out of water Wednesday, September 3, 2026.

This includes: Brown’s Town, Huntley, Liberty Valley, Standfast, York Castle, Goshen and Minard Hill. Additional areas affected include:  Orange Hill, Bennin, Top Road, Clarke Crescent, Wesley Crescent, St. Hilda’s Drive, Trysee.

The National Water Commission (NWC) says the lock-off is due to leaks in the 12-inch network in Minard.

In a release Wednesday morning, the NWC said, “Repairs are currently underway, and water supply is expected to be restored by 6 p.m. today, September 3, 2026.”
