Residents of Lime Hall, near St Ann’s Bay are again expressing concern about criminality in the community, following a break-in there last week.
The home of the Linton ‘Trainer’ Harvey and Jennica Harvey was broken into and vandalized Monday morning, April 24, and an estimated two million dollars in valuables stolen.
The home of the Harveys, located at Gully Street in Lime Hall, was broken into in the wee hours of Monday, April 24, 2017.
The thieves removed all electrical and electronic items from the house including a house disco music set, valued over $500,000, a laptop, a tablet computer, among a number of other household articles.
The house was discovered broken into when Miss Harvey’s nephew went to feed her dog on Monday and saw the louver blades removed from the back section of the bathroom of the building. When he pushed the door he realized it was opened and that the living room had been cleaned out and the place ransacked.
The culprits also kicked open the door to Ms Harvey’s bedroom and removed a quantity of colognes, jewellery and clothing.
An alarm was raised and a large gathering of residents came out and expressed their sympathy to Ms Harvey and their disgust at the incident.
The matter was reported the St. Ann’s Bay police. Estimated loss is nearly $2, million.
The Harveys were off the island at the time of the incident. They left earlier in the month to spend Easter with their children in New York.
One of Ms Harvey’s nephews who lives close to her recently suffered a break in when he went on vacation in the US. On the same Wednesday he left, thieves broke into his house and removed a quantity of his clothes, shoes and other personal belongings.
