The Gran Bahia Principe resort located in Runaway Bay, St Ann hosted their annual health and wellness fair for the hotel’s employees over two days, October 22 and 23, at the resort.

More than 30 organizations representing health and wellness as well as education and persnal development set up booths on the resort compound to provide information and services to the staff. Theyincluded: HEART Trust NTA, Registrar General Department (RGD), University of Technology Western Campus, Executive Ground Ambulance Services Ltd, Jamaica National, Sagicor group, Herbal Life, Broadbent, Amway and several others.

Farrah Blake, organizer and relationships manager, said the fair was not only catering to the physical health but to the whole person in terms of their educational, financial and physical wellness. Information was at hand to the hotel employees as they could benefit from the different agencies that were present in assisting them with queries.

Andrew Mullings, CEO of Executive Ground Ambulance Services Ltd. (EGAS) said: “EGAS is actually a membership driven program, where our members receive 24-hour ambulance and emergency access island wide. Regardless of the time or medical condition once they call an ambulance will be dispatched for them which would transport them to the best hospital across Jamaica.”  EGAS came out with several team members at the hotel’s health fair and could be seen doing free haircuts,   heath checks, massages, makeovers and manicures.   A few gift baskets were also awarded to the employees for answering questions.
