The staff at the Port Antonio hospital on Tuesday, December 23 staged their first staff culinary exposition on the hospital grounds. The culinary exposition was introduced due to economic hardship which restricted the staff from having their annual staff dinner. Jasmin Ricketts- Campbell, hospital CEO said “annually we normally have our end of year dinner but we realized that when we checked our sponsors they were not able to fund us.” Seven departments at the hospital took part in the expo. Five groups displayed their culinary talents which were all tasted and judged for a winner to be declared. The departments that participated were: nursing, admin and x-ray, porters and drivers, medical records and maintenance. The medical records department emerged winner with the nursing department placing second.
