ST MARY POLICE ALSO RECOVERED STOLEN CAR

Separate police operations in St Mary have led to the seizure of more than half a million dollars in counterfeit rum and the recovery of a stolen motorcar. In each of the operations, one man was taken into custody.
The rum was seized in Port Maria, the capital, on Warners Street, on Thursday night, September 11, 2025.

According to the police, during the operation, several boxes and bottles of spirits believed to be counterfeit were discovered and seized. The items, branded as Wray & Nephew White Rum, carried an estimated street value of over half a million dollars.

One male suspect was taken into custody in connection with the find.
STOLEN CAR
During another operation, early Sunday morning, September 14, 2025, the St. Mary Police, acting on intelligence, conducted a targeted operation in the Marking Stone community of Annotto Bay, St. Mary.
During the operation, a search warrant was executed at a premises, where the police were searching for prohibited weapons and stolen property. While carrying out the search, officers recovered a white Toyota Voxy motor vehicle on an adjacent property.
The vehicle was found concealed beneath a piece of tarpaulin, with significant sections removed and no registration plates affixed. Preliminary investigations revealed that the motor vehicle was stolen in the Corporate Area and was reported to the police. One man has been taken into custody in connection with the find.
