Alice Pugh Smikle celebrated her 100th birthday, on Friday October 10, at the Pathway International Kingdom Restoration Ministries, 57 St James Street in Montego Bay, St James. Born in Woodland, Hanover on October 10 1914, she gave birth to six children. Four have pre-deceased her. During her early years, while growing up in Montego Bay she did housekeeping with the Delliser family at their villa. A well disciplined woman, she had a lot of grand and great great grand children. At her party on Friday, October 10, her family bought her a huge birthday cake to enhance her 100th birth night celebration. Although she was weak to walk, some of her family members held the cake beside her and took photographs. Here, Alice Pugh Smikle sits in a chair at the Pathway.
