Jamaica’s rising golfing star Wesley Brown continued his recent vintage form, capturing the Do Dare Charity Professional category event at Cinnamon Hill course in Montego Bay on Tuesday, December 2, to record his second consecutive victory on local soil. Brown, who was in great form on the USA Carolina Series Pro Tour recently, picked up where he left off by shooting 7-under par at the 2-day event, with scores of 69 and 68 to win by 9 strokes. The week before, Brown won the Alliance Buccaneer Memorial Event at Caymanas Golf Club, carding 74 and 73 to finish on 3 over par. A confident Brown said he was in great form at the moment. “I am playing really well; hitting the ball solidly and my short game and touch game have improved thanks to my playing overseas.” With his golfing season now closed for the year, Brown said he will be back in action in Jamaica in January, but will open his overseas tour in February. Brown, a caddy at Sandals Golf and Country Club, is sponsored by Sandals Resorts International.
