Giving me ‘BUN’ but I love him He is like an itch — get rid of him

Dear  Aunty Yvonne

My boyfriend been giving me bun for nearly a year but I love him. What is bothering me now is that since three weeks ago I have an itching down there and he is not coming around so often again? What should I do?

Dear Getting Bun

According to popular belief, a boyfriend is someone who admires  you and who you can  share special moments with  so I am not sure why you are calling this person  your boyfriend.  He is certainly no friend of yours. In fact, it seems like you are not even your own friend. What did you expect him to give you if he is sleeping with someone else?  You are allowing him to disrespect you  if he thinks he can do what he wants and you will put up with and tolerate his unacceptable behaviour . Sit down and make a list of the reasons why you think you love him and the reasons why he does not love you enough to be faithful. I expect you would be surprised at the revelation. If you don’t love and respect yourself, no one else will. So please get medical advice or treatment for your itching condition and then the next time you see him,  remind yourself that your boyfriend is like that itch. You will scratch and scratch and it will never get better until you get the treatment needed to rid yourself of the irritation. So get the medical  treatment and  then treat your own condition by beginning to love and admire yourself and  boost your self esteem. You could do this by   moving  to live in a new neighbourhood , getting a new job, going back to school or doing the things that will be positive in your life. When the irritation comes round to see you again,  look him in the eyes and remember he is only an itch not a boyfriend . Tell yourself you deserve better and hold your head high as you walk away from this relationship. In time you will meet that special someone who will love you and respect you and make you happy but this is only possible  if you  learn to love and value yourself.
