The St Mary police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man for questioning in the murder of a HEART/NTA teacher in the parish in February.
The man being sought is Davar Commock.
Police believe that Commock can assist them in making a breakthrough into the stabbing death of 42-year-old Orville Francis, of Almond Tree Lane, Wilderness, Oracabessa, St. Mary.
Francis, who was an instructor of Information Technology at the Port Maria HEART/Trust NTA centre, was found stabbed to death at his apartment on Monday afternoon, February 29.
Police reports indicate that Francis was last seen alive at 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 28 by his landlord.
It was around 2 p.m. the next day that the landlord observed Francis’ door slightly opened. This raised suspicions as Francis was normally at work at that time of the day.
The landlord entered the apartment and found Francis on the ground in his bedroom in a pool of blood.
Francis’ throat was slashed and he had several stab wounds.
The police have not held a suspect since the murder was committed.
