FARMERS COUNT LOSSES AFTER HEAVY RAINS
Heavy and persistent rains overnight left the Rio Grande in spate on Saturday, December 23, causing flooding of several roadways in the Rio Grande Valley.

Farms were flooded, and animals and crops were washed away. Farmers in Seaman’s Valley told reporters Saturday morning they lost cattle that were washed away.
The National Works Agency advised careful use of the roads in the Valley, where land slippage and flooding had occurred.
