Police are appealing for help in identifying a vehicle and its driver involved in a fatal hit and run crash on Sunday morning, January 3 in Runaway Bay, St Ann.
Dead is Dwuniah Veira of Mount Edgecombe, Runaway Bay.
According to police, Veira was crossing the Brown’s Town to Runaway Bay main road, in the vicinity of Runaway Bay Meadows, about 1:40 Sunday morning when he was hit. An eyewitness reportedly said the vehicle that hit Veira was heading north, toward Runaway Bay.
Cpl Miller of the Runaway Bay Traffic Dept says police were told the vehicle was a dark coloured car. He says that’s very vague. He is asking anyone with information on the vehicle or its driver to contact him or the station.
