A man, who has been charged in relation to a murder in the Mansfield Heights community, also called Falklands, in June, has been granted bail.He is Howard Bryan.Bryan is charged with the murder of Brian Henry, which on Sunday morning, June 26.He was granted bail in the sum of $600,000 by parish judge Vaughn Facey in the St Ann Parish Court on Tuesday, August 16.As a condition of his bail, Bryan is to reside in St Mary and should not return to the Mansfield Heights community or St Ann unless for court and to speak to an attorney.A curfew order was also attached to his bail and he is to report to the Port Maria Police Station also in St Mary.The matter was heard in-camera, meaning no member of the public could be present in court, while the details of the case were being discussed.Bryan’s attorney, Oswest Senior Smith explained that bail was offered to his client because his client was not seen as the man who shot Henry and wounded a JDF soldier in the same incident.However, Bryan was among the group of men, which included his brother Devroy Vernon, otherwise known as Peboo, who it is claimed is the alleged murderer.Vernon is being sought by the police for questioning.In addition, Senior Smith explained that there are no allegations that his client would affect the further investigations of the case if he was offered bail.The case against Howard Bryan will once again be mentioned on October 5.Police reports are that at about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, Henry was lyming with friends when two men armed with handguns opened fire at the group. Henry and one other man were shot.Both were rushed to hospital, where Henry was pronounced dead and the other man, identified as a soldier, admitted for treatment.
