ST ANN MAN INTERVENED IN DISPUTE BETWEEN TWO OTHERS, STABBED ONE

A man who intervened in a dispute between two men in St Ann and stabbed one of them has been charged with murder.
Charged with murder is 22-year-old labourer Sanjay Hull, otherwise known as ‘Dudus’, of Maida district, St Ann.

He has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of 28-year-old Asauni Sterling in their community on Saturday, August 16.
Reports from the Alexandria Police are that at about 6:00 p.m., Saturday, an argument developed between Sterling and a man. During the confrontation, Hull intervened, brandished a knife, and inflicted stab wounds to Sterling’s abdomen. The injured man was assisted to the hospital, where he died while being treated.
A report was made to the police, and Hull turned himself in to the police in the company of his attorney on Monday, August 18. He was charged based on an eyewitness statement and a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney on Wednesday, August 20.
His court date is being arranged.
