Exchange All Age stages reading competition on Read Across Jamaica Day

On Tuesday, May 5, Read Across Jamaica Day, Exchange All Age School hosted their annual Library Reading Competition under the theme ‘Today a reader, Tomorrow a leader.’Students from Grades 1 to 8 participated in various competitions including spelling and reading. Many parents were there to cheer on their children. Booths were set up by Bryan’s Books Store and Catalyst Book Store.The event was aimed at helping to improve students’ literacy level and highlight their talents. Donival Green, vice principal and event coordinator described the day as a success. She also gave high praises to the committee members responsible for staging the event.Sponsors of the reading competition included: Dr. Roger Carrington; Milex Taxi Association; Dr. Horace Betton; DelroyGiscombe and Williams Hardware in Runaway Bay.
