The ex-policeman charged for the murder of St Mary entertainer Kriston Pearson, otherwise called Instaboss, is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, October 2.
Thompson has been in custody since his arrest at the end of August and is being represented by Peter Champagnie.
Thompson is alleged to have shot Pearson to death at a party in Port Maria on May 7, 2017 at about 4:30 a.m. Eyewitnesses said the shooting followed an altercation between both men.
It is alleged that shortly after the killing, Thompson resigned from the Police Force and left the island to the United States of America (USA). With the intervention of INDECOM, Thompson was deported to Jamaica at the end of August and immediately taken into custody.
