Well known St Ann educator, musician and justice of the peace (JP), Norma Walters is dead.
She died this morning, (Friday September 16) after a brief illness. She was said to be in her late 70s.
Miss Walters worked at the Brown’s Town Community College for more than 20 years and was principal from 1991-1997.
She was well known for her abilities on the piano and organ and taught music privately and in schools. She was well reputed for her knowledge of the history of Brown’s Town where she lived for decades.
Ms Walters was one of the most accommodating JPs in the parish serving for decades.
