Police have in custody the man who they believe was driving the bus that crashed Friday in St Ann killing five people.
He is Rohan Robinson of Galina, St Mary.
SSP Wayne Cameron told the North Coast Times this morning (Mon, May 30) that the man’s lawyer turned him in to police Sunday night. Robinson is to be charged with five (5) counts of manslaughter, driving without a licence and without insurance.
Robinson was conductor of the bus but was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said. The designated driver was one of those killed. Four of the five killed in the crash at Laughlands on the North Coast Highway have been identified.
