Sources told the North Coast Times that one of the three who was driving is said to have suffered broken bones. “But that doctor is also emotionally hurt, really feeling it hard,” a hospital staff member said.

The other two interns who were in the rear passenger seats are said to have minor injuries. Sources said two of the three were sent for MRI as part of their treatment. The third was sent home.

Reports from the Castleton Police are that at about 5:50 a.m., Monday, April 21, 2025, Dr Etti was a passenger aboard a blue Honda Fit motor car, with three other doctors aboard, travelling from Kingston towards Annotto Bay. Upon reaching a section of the Castleton roadway, the driver swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle, and the car hit an embankment. The Honda Fit plunged about 150 feet into a precipice and came to rest on the embankment of a river.

Police say Dr Etti and his three colleagues were taken to the Annotto Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, medical staff at the hospital have received counselling. The Hospital is in touch with Dr Etti’s family.
