DOCTOR KILLED IN ST MARY CRASH

WAS TRAVELLING WITH COLLEAGUES TO ANNOTTO BAY HOSPITAL

CASTLETON, St Mary; April 21, 2005

A doctor is dead and three of his colleagues were admitted at hospital following a vehicular crash near Castleton, St Mary, Monday morning, April 21, 2025.

Police say the medical doctor attached to the Annotto Bay Hospital was taken to the facility where he succumbed to his injuries.

The police did not give details of the victim’s identity, beyond stating he was 36 years old. He is believed to have been from Africa.

According to the St Mary police, the collision took place about 5:50 a.m. along Golden Valley Main Road, Castleton, in the parish.

The collision involved a blue Honda Fit motor car driven by a 28-year-old medical doctor attached to the Annotto Bay Hospital.

The police report to the North Coast Times said: “The vehicle, which had four medical doctors on board, veered off the road and plunged into a precipice approximately 150 feet deep. One of the passengers, a 36-year-old medical doctor, succumbed to injuries after being transported to the Annotto Bay Hospital. The other occupants received injuries and are being treated.”

Police officers visited the scene, and assistance was provided by the Annotto Bay and Stony Hill fire departments. The Castleton Police are investigating.
