The man driving the bus that crashed killing five Friday in St Ann has been charged with five counts of manslaughter.
Rohan Robinson, 31, of Galina has also been charged with driving without a driver’s licence, without insurance and without a road licence.
He is in police custody and is to go to the St Ann’s Bay Parish Court, Wednesday (June 1). Robinson’s lawyer, Ernest Smith turned him in Sunday night.
Police have confirmed they are to charge the woman constable who owns the 2007 12-seater Golden Dragon bus that was said to be carrying 15 people when it crashed at Laughlands Friday morning about 7 o’clock.
She is to be charged for operating the bus without insurance and road licence. The Transport Authority has not confirmed reports that it instructed that the bus was not roadworthy and should no longer operate as a passenger vehicle.
