DAYTON CAMPBELL CONFIDENT HE WILL RETAIN SEAT IN CONSTITUENCY

Dr Dayton Campbell (right), MP for North West St Ann, is confident he will retain the seat in the next general elections. Speaking at a PNP rally in Brown’s Town, at the Brown’s Town High School Sunday evening, August 19, Dr Campbell said he has a track record of working for the constituency. He said the JLP administration is trying to sabotage him but will fail. He identified the road from Brown’s Town to Runaway Bay as in great need of improvement but said the JLP administration is not supporting his work. He reminded his audience of PNP supporters that it was the Government that had to make the major allocations. Also on the platform with Dr Campbell in this picture are MPs Ronnie Thwaites (front row 2nd right) and Peter Bunting (2nd left front row) is accusing the JLP Government of trying to sabotage his efforts in the constituency.

The PNP MP says despite this he will retain the seat he first won in 2011. Dr Campbell said he has a track record of working in the constituency.

The rally was held the same time one was taking place at Brown’s Town Community College, also in Brown’s Town, where the JLP was presenting Senator Ruel Reid as candidate for the constituency.

Dr Campbell who is shadow spokesperson on health said he has invested in education, welfare and other areas in the constituency.

He pointed out that since he became MP he has done over 12,000 free medical check-ups/reports across the constituency, with 1300 medicals already done from July to August of the year. These are mainly for students going to educational institutions.
