RARELY USED MEASURE IN ST MARY ENDS SUNDAY
ANNOTTO BAY, St Mary — July 27, 2024
A 48-hour curfew is in effect in sections of Enfield and Dover districts in southeast St. Mary. The security measures involving movement restrictions are rarely used in Police Area 2, including St Mary.
Recent incidents of shooting and murder in the area have apparently forced the security measure.
The curfews began at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, July 26, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 28.
According to the police, the boundaries of the curfew for ENFIELD are:
North: From a section of Iterboreale main road, in the vicinity of the National Water Commission (NWC) pump site, along an imaginary line 458 meters east of the Dry River Bridge.
East: From the Dry River Bridge 6622 meters in a southern direction along an imaginary line to a section of the Enfield community called Forty-one.
South: From Forty-one Square, 500 metres west along an imaginary line.
West: From the end of the imaginary line at Forty-One Square, 7313 meters along an imaginary line due north to the starting point along the main road in the vicinity of the NWC pump station.
And in DOVER, near the St. Mary border with Portland
