PM CUTS RIBBON TO 3OTH STORE FOR COURTS IN JAMAICA

The newest courts store in Jamaica was opened Thursday, October 10, 2024 in Drax Hall, St Ann

Several executives of Unicomer Group of which Courts is a part and Government Ministers and other officials were in attendance.
The new store next to the Knutsford Express Complex is on an 18,000 square-ft property with nearly 16,000 square feet of retail space. The store, the 30th for Courts in Jamaica occupies two floors and has an escalator (electric stairs) connecting the floors. It is a modern, well-laid-out store with high-end furniture electrical appliances, electronic and household fixtures.
Courts said 20 percent of the furniture sold at the Drax Hall store will be produced by Jamaican manufacturers
Courts Drax Hall will offer specialized services including Courts Optical, Courts Ready Cash, JN Money Services, MoneyGram, and GK Money Services —Western Union.
Felix Siman, Vice President of Innovation and Caribbean Managing Director of Unicomer said he was excited about the new venture in the 65 years of relationship between Courts and Jamaica.
Interim Managing Director Unicomer Jamaica and Vice President for Unicomer Caribbean Errol LeBlanc said Courts Drax Hall would continue the relationship built up over 65 years with Jamaican households. He said the experience at Courts Drax Hall would be a five-star one.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Minister of Industry and Commerce Aubyn Hill, and Mayor of St Ann’s Bay Michael Belnavis all welcomed the Courts investment and said the store would add value to the area.
