It is back-to-school time and, once again, residents of the Dry Harbour Division in North West St. Ann are delighted with the assistance provided by their councillor  and philanthropist, Arthur Clemetson .

On Saturday, August 30, over two hundred children and their parents attended the annual back-to-school treat, partly funded by Councillor Clemetson, at the Discovery Bay All-Age School. They were presented with needed supplies of hard cover note books, pens, pencils, crayons, pouches, knapsacks and bags.

The smiling faces of the children and their parents were enough to demonstrate there pleasure in receiving the gift.

Since returning to the island from England nearly 15 years ago, Mr. Clemetson has been extending love to the people of his community by putting on annual Christmas treat, Easter treat and back-to-school treat, sometimes with the help of friends and close associates locally and overseas. This year’s back to school treat put on by Mr. Clemetson was sponsored by the St Ann Parish Council of which he has been a member since March 2012. In an interview with North Coast Times Mr. Clemetson gave his assurance that as long as he remains strong and healthy, the people of his division can always look forward to their back-to- school treat each year.

One woman, accompanied by two children, remarked “No matter whether it big or it small, Mr. Clemetson always a look out fi him people dem.” Also taking part in the presentation was MP of the North West St Ann Dr. Dayton Campbell
