Police interviewed the woman shot execution style in her Ocho Rios home before she died. However, the St Ann police are yet to arrest and charge anyone for the murder of the business woman at her home in Buckfield, Ocho Rios. Dead is 34-year-old Keneisha Souden. Souden was shot and killed a few days after returning to Ocho Rios to resume a life in her hometown. She had been shot on a previous occasion and relocated out of the area, some time ago. She was shot in her house in Buckfield, Ocho Rios, Monday September 1 and died Friday, September 5, in hospital in Kingston.
Police told the North Coast Times that about 8:30 on Monday, September 1, a man with gun in hand entered Souden’s house, passed her husband and child on their verandah and went inside the house and shot her in the chest twice. The woman collapsed and was rushed to St Ann’s Bay Hospital. From there she was transferred to Kingston Public Hospital in an unconscious state.
The St Ann police say statements were collected and investigations are still on-going but so far, no one has been arrested and charged. Head of the St Ann police, Superintendent Yvonne Martin-Daley, says the woman was questioned at hospital before she succumbed to her injuries, but that did not help to make any headway into the case. It is reported that though Souden spoke to police she did not give them details of the shooting. It’s unclear if she named her shooter.
Superintendent Daley says the investigations are on-going and she appealed to anyone with information to contact the police. The Times reported last week that Mrs Souden was shot within hours of returning to live at a home from which she and family had moved months ago. Police sources say they have heard reports about why Mrs Sounden was killed but no one has come forward to provide statements to back up street talk.
