Police arrested four men and seized just over six kilograms of cocaine at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James in separate incidents recently.  Three of the men have been charged following arrests on Wednesday, March 30 and Sunday, April 3.
According to reports, police officers attached to the Narcotics and Port Divisions seized the cocaine valued at over J$8 million.

A release from the CCU said that on Wednesday, March 30, three men employed to a catering company were arrested for attempting to export approximately three kilograms of cocaine in nine meal containers disguised as special meals. The containers were found aboard an aircraft destined for Birmingham, England.
Arrested and charged are: John Morris, Troy Lawrence and Jovan Palmer, all employed to companies at the Sangster airport.  All three men have been charged with possession and dealing in cocaine and taking steps preparatory to exporting cocaine. They are scheduled to appear in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday, April 8, 2016.

The second incident took place on Sunday, April 3, 2016, when a man was arrested after the car he was driving was stopped and searched on the compound of the Sangster International Airport by police officers.  It is alleged that three kilograms of cocaine was found in a bag inside the car.  Police said he is expected to be charged pending further investigations.
“It is believed that the cocaine seized was destined to be exported to the United Kingdom and or the United States of America.   The police and its many partner agencies will continue to exert the necessary effort to tackle this issue,” said Senior Superintendent of Police Calvin Small, in charge of the Narcotics Division.
